Kiana Villa gives SIUE a reliable bullpen arm with a starter’s frame
In the 2026 season, SIUE senior right-hander Kiana Villa posted a 4.20 ERA with 5 wins, 1 save, 48.1 innings, and 16 strikeouts, and she was repeatedly used in relief to steady games late.[1][2][3] Her biggest appeal is versatility: she can absorb multiple innings, limit damage in leverage spots, and bring a 5'11" pitcher’s build that projects well for matchup work and bullpen depth.[2][3] She looks like a useful fit for teams wanting a composed, workhorse-style reliever who can help win close games rather than headline a rotation.[1][2]
