Simon Vinton brings prototype size and upside to NDSU’s edge room
Simon Vinton enters North Dakota State as a 6-foot-5, 240-pound freshman defensive end from Orono, Minnesota, with the kind of frame coaches love to mold into an FCS wrecking ball. He does not yet have college stats on the board, but his value is the obvious upside: length, power potential, and developmental space in a program famous for turning raw defensive linemen into monsters. For a roster fit, he looks like a high-ceiling rotational project rather than an instant stat-sheet star, which is exactly the sort of sneaky-good Bison bet that can pay off later.
