Freshman LB Braylon Hood brings size, pedigree, and upside to Furman’s linebacker room
Braylon Hood enters Furman as a freshman linebacker with a sturdy 6-foot-0, 205-pound frame and a decorated prep résumé: three-time all-region, three-time all-metro, and two-time all-state at Varina High, where he also played running back and helped his team to a strong playoff run. Furman’s 2026 roster listing has him at 6-0, 212, and the Paladins’ inside-linebacker preview singled him out as one of the newest additions in the room. He looks like a high-motor, multi-sport athlete with tackling upside and room to develop into a useful fit in an aggressive defense.
