James Wright brings a power-first bat and veteran pop behind the plate for Northern Colorado
In the 2025 season, James Wright appeared in 29 games and started 23 for Northern Colorado, hitting .278 with eight doubles, two home runs, and 17 RBI, which points to a catcher who can contribute real extra-base damage and not just survive at the plate. His profile suggests a steady, playable everyday piece with some thump, while his rising game load from 2024 to 2025 hints at growing trust from the staff. If you want a catcher who can handle meaningful innings and add offense, he looks like a fit; the main question is how much impact he can provide beyond the bat.[1]
