Dominic Vassallo gives LIU a reliable right-handed bridge arm
In the 2026 season, Dominic Vassallo has worked as a dependable LIU reliever, posting a 2.13 ERA with 7 strikeouts and 6 walks over 12.2 innings, while also earning a win in key late-season work. He’s a 6-foot-2 right-hander who brings value as a bridge piece: not flashy, but trusted, competitive, and used in pressure spots, including LIU’s NCAA run. The fit question? If a team wants a steady bullpen arm with strike-throwing ability and game-management traits, he’s a useful addition.
