Two-Way Guard With Steal-Heavy Edge and Big-Game Poise
Buchanan’s calling card is two-way impact: at Murray State, he finished with 722 points and 110 steals across his two-year career, showing a guard who can score, pressure the ball, and change possessions with defense.[7] He also earned preseason recognition alongside Ja Morant, which fits the profile of a tough, trusted backcourt piece rather than a high-usage flash scorer.[5] If you want an intense, athletic guard who brings competitiveness, defensive disruption, and veteran feel, he’s the kind of fit that raises a team’s floor.[7][5]
