Oregon State adds a proven high-contact bat in Eli Gries-Smith
Gries-Smith brings a ready-made offensive profile: in the 2025 season at Arkansas-Pine Bluff, he hit .353 with 73 hits, 16 doubles, 45 RBI and 15 steals, and Oregon State has described him as a high-contact bat competing for a starting role. Earlier in 2024, he was an All-American at Monroe after hitting .366 with 17 doubles, three triples, five homers and 44 RBI, showing he can do damage beyond singles. The fit is strongest for a team valuing bat-to-ball skills, versatility and production over raw power.
