Nate Pickens brings proven two-way transfer value to BYU
Pickens is a 6-3 senior guard who already showed he can scale up as a starter at UC Riverside, averaging 9.8 points, 3.5 rebounds and 2.1 assists in 2024-25 while hitting 39.2% from three and starting 31 of 33 games.[6][7] He stands out as a shot-maker who can punish help defense, compete on the glass for his size, and has already proven he can produce against BYU, scoring 18 points in a December 2024 matchup.[3][6] The major question is availability: he missed the entire 2025-26 season after surgery for an undisclosed injury, so his fit depends on returning healthy and regaining rhythm.[12]
