emerging East Texas A&M DB with early-playmaking upside
Gillespie is a sophomore defensive back for East Texas A&M who showed early rotational value in 2025 with 7 total tackles, 1 pass breakup, and no turnovers allowed in the stat line, suggesting a steady, assignment-sound defender rather than a high-variance gambler. At 5'11"-6'0" and around 180/81 kg, he brings a compact frame that fits modern coverage roles, and the lack of available news or injury reporting points to a low-drama profile. He looks like a fit for teams that value reliability, tackling, and developmental upside in the secondary.
