Local Oregon State DB Ugo Odoemelam is a homegrown redshirt with upside
Ugo Odoemelam is a Salem, Oregon product at Oregon State who redshirted in the 2024 season and is listed at 6-foot-0, 202 pounds, giving him the frame of a modern DB with room to grow.[1][4] The clearest differentiator is pedigree and fit: Oregon State explicitly notes he chose the Beavers because he “grew up watching the Beavs” and that OSU “feels like home,” which usually translates to buy-in and coachability.[1] He has not yet produced notable stat-sheet numbers, so the appeal is developmental upside rather than instant production.[3][4]
