Pinja Paananen brings size, outside touch, and international experience to Sacramento State
Paananen is a 6'2" forward who played in 31 games as a sophomore in the 2025-26 season, averaging 9.7 minutes, 74 points, 33 rebounds, and 16 made threes while shooting 38.4% from the field for Sacramento State.[2] Her value goes beyond box-score production: she has national-team experience for Finland, has played in FIBA youth competition, and showed she can stretch the floor in Europe and college, which makes her a useful fit for a team needing a versatile frontcourt player who can space the floor and compete with maturity.[3][6][7]
