Jack Garvey has become a multi-inning, bat-missing relief weapon for New Orleans
In the 2026 season, Jack Garvey has given the Privateers a valuable bridge arm: 16 appearances, four starts, 34 strikeouts in 34.1 innings, and a season-best seven strikeouts in 3.0 innings against UIW. He’s not yet overpowering hitters every outing—his ERA sits in the mid-6s—but he has shown real swing-and-miss ability, length out of the bullpen, and poise in leverage spots, including stranding all five inherited runners reported by New Orleans. If a staff wants a live right-hander who can miss bats and cover innings, Garvey looks like a useful fit.
