Versatile Valpo wing with a proven college scorer’s touch
Nickerson was a 6-foot-8, high-rated Georgia recruit who brought real length and wing versatility to Valparaiso, and in the 2015-16 season he averaged 4.5 points and 1.3 rebounds in 32 games after also posting 6.2 points per game in 2014-15. He’s the kind of player you care about because he can give you size on the perimeter, bench scoring, and matchup flexibility; the caution flag is that his college production was modest and his shooting efficiency dipped in his final Valpo season, so the fit is best for a role that values length, experience, and defensive switchability over heavy usage.
