Jacob Russell is a stout, dependable anchor on Central Michigan’s left side
In the 2026 season, Jacob Russell profiles as one of Central Michigan’s most trusted linemen: a 6-foot-4, 300-pound senior who started all 13 games at left tackle in 2025 and returns as a preseason All-MAC honorable mention-type player. He’s valued less for flash than for consistency, toughness, and quiet leadership — the staff called him a “no nonsense, silent leader” who is “tough as nails.” With 24 career starts and an offense that allowed just 24 sacks in 2025, Russell looks like a smart fit for teams wanting a reliable, physical edge-setter rather than a headline grabber.
