Miami’s freshman lefty flashed strikeout juice, then hit the transfer portal
Lonzo Drummond is a 6-foot-2 freshman left-handed pitcher who briefly showed swing-and-miss upside for Miami in the 2026 season, including scoreless relief work in February, but his season line was just 1 1/3 innings across four appearances with a 27.00 ERA before he entered the transfer portal in May 2026. His appeal is pure lefty value: projectable frame, short-term bullpen flash, and room to grow, but the current fit hinges more on long-term development than immediate production. He’s a buy on upside, not on track record.
