high-upside Razorbacks catcher still in the “show me” phase
Carson Willis is a 5-foot-11, right-handed catcher for Arkansas who entered 2026 as a redshirt sophomore, with the Razorbacks listing him after an injury-shortened redshirt year in 2025. He was a highly regarded prep backstop, ranked by Perfect Game as the No. 412 overall prospect and No. 45 catcher in the 2024 class, and his calling card is legit catching profile upside: solid arm talent, athleticism, and enough raw tools to project as a reliable SEC defender if the bat comes along. He’s a good fit if a team wants a development-minded catcher with upside and toughness.
