Matthew Pazak brings a contact-first bat and steady catcher profile to Penn
In the 2026 season, Matthew Pazak has been a useful depth piece for Penn, hitting .167 with a .348 on-base percentage across 18 at-bats, while also delivering key multi-hit pop in a mid-April win and steady offensive contributions in select games[2][5][6]. At 6-foot, 215 pounds with a right-right profile, he projects as a physical catcher who can add value through toughness, game management, and timely contact rather than loud power numbers[1][3].
