Tyler Blount brings efficient guard play and veteran scoring touch to Texas State
Tyler Blount is a compact, experienced guard who gives Texas State a steady scoring option and knows how to fit into a system without forcing the issue. In the 2024-25 season, he played in all 33 games, started 32, and averaged 7.0 points, 1.9 rebounds, and 1.1 assists in 23.3 minutes while shooting 42.2% from the field; ESPN lists him at 4.8 points, 1.3 rebounds, and 0.7 assists per game. He stands out more for reliability, shot-making, and proven production than flash, which makes him a sensible fit for a team that values mature, low-drama guard minutes.[4][1]
