Derrico Peck brought veteran rim protection and efficient finishing to UMES
In the 2016-17 season, Derrico Peck was a high-efficiency, high-motor frontcourt presence for Maryland Eastern Shore, finishing second in school history with 66 career blocks and posting a team-best .650 field-goal mark, plus 44 blocked shots and 6.9 rebounds per game that season. He wasn’t a flashy volume scorer, but he consistently impacted games with size, timing, and reliable finishing around the rim. For a team needing toughness, interior defense, and a mature locker-room voice, Peck was exactly the kind of steady veteran who made the Hawks harder to play against.
