Matthew Heiberger gives Alabama a big-bodied, left-handed bullpen arm with proven SEC innings
Heiberger is a 6-foot-3, 205-pound left-handed pitcher who logged 25 bullpen appearances for Alabama in 2025, finishing with a 4.46 ERA over 34.1 innings and ranking second on the staff in appearances. His appeal is the combination of size, left-on-left value, and a live arm that scouts have tied to a mid-90s heater and strong up-in-the-zone traits, which gives him real matchup upside if the command sharpens. He also has a broad athletic background and showed enough versatility and competitiveness to stay in the mix for high-leverage innings.
