A.J. Bowers brings grit-first depth to the Mocs frontcourt
A.J. Bowers is best known in Chattanooga circles as a tough, team-first big who can give you minutes, rebounds, and hustle plays when the game gets messy. In the 2017-18 season, he appeared in 14 games off the bench and even played through a sprained ankle in a tight road OT game, a good snapshot of his grit and buy-in[1]. If a roster needs low-ego energy, physicality, and a player who stays ready, he fits the mold; if it needs high-usage scoring punch, that’s not his game[1].
