Craig Ponder brings proven UNCW guard instincts and floor leadership
Craig Ponder is best known at UNCW as a steady, high-IQ guard who helped drive winning basketball with scoring touch and playmaking; in the 2024-25 season, he ranked third on the team with 11.4 points per game and added 76 assists while starting 24 of 33 games. His value is not just the box score: he brings experience, decision-making, and two-way guard reliability, which makes him a strong fit for teams that need a composed connector rather than a flashy volume scorer.
