Sam McKay is a big-bodied freshman arm still in the early sample phase
In the 2026 season, Canisius freshman right-hander Sam McKay has only logged one appearance, but the early read is clear: he brings a pro-style frame at 6'3", 258 pounds and a starter’s build that hints at durability and mound presence.[1][7][9] He also arrives with a solid Canadian amateur background from the Toronto Mets and Colonel By Secondary School, plus two CPBL All-Star nods, which suggests upside even if the college stat line is still tiny.[1][3] If your team wants a physical, projectable pitcher who could grow into real innings, McKay is one to watch.[1][7]
