Grant Kuhlmann brings rare size and multi-sport explosiveness to SDSU’s edge
Grant Kuhlmann enters South Dakota State as a 6-foot-6, 260-pound freshman defensive end with a high-upside frame and a proven backfield-disruption profile from Lincoln Lutheran. In high school, he earned first-team all-district honors three straight seasons and, over his final two years, posted 62 tackles, 13 tackles for loss, and 5 sacks in just 12 games while also showing versatility as a pass-catcher, shot-blocker, and track athlete. That combo of length, motor, and competitive grit makes him an intriguing developmental fit for a physical, winning program.
