Grady Payton’s rising stock: a 6-foot-9 matchup problem with size, shooting, and two-way upside
Grady Payton is a 2026 high school prospect from Capital City (Mo.) who stands 6-foot-9 and is being recruited as a PF/SF type with clear modern value: size, shooting, and defensive versatility. Bryant’s staff specifically praised his ability to play multiple positions and switch defensively, while Prep Hoops lists him as one of Missouri’s notable 2026 prospects. In his high school career, he reportedly averaged 23.7 points, 8.7 rebounds, and 2.5 assists as a senior, which fits the eye test of a long, fluid, high-upside forward who can tilt the floor on both ends.
