Bentil’s Providence peak was a scoring-and-rebounding blast
In the 2015-16 season, Ben Bentil turned into a matchup problem for Providence, leading the Big East in scoring at 21.1 points per game while adding 7.7 rebounds per game and 194 made free throws; he was a high-motor forward who could score inside, stretch the floor, and punish smaller defenders. Reports from the time also flagged defense as the swing skill, so he looked like a fit for teams wanting an aggressive, productive frontcourt scorer with room to sharpen the stop-everything end.
