Ben Schechterman brings a versatile, high-IQ bat to EMU’s lineup
In the 2025 season, Ben Schechterman appeared in 18 games for Eastern Michigan and hit .209 with a .320 OBP and .233 SLG, while showing lineup flexibility as a UTIL and steady hands in the field with a perfect 1.000 fielding percentage. He also posted one home run in 2026 and was recognized on EMU’s Academic All-MAC list, which fits the profile of a dependable, coach-friendly player who does the little things well. If your team wants a senior utility piece with experience, discipline, and academic consistency, he’s the kind of under-the-radar fit that quietly makes a roster sturdier.
