Donovan Becerra is a physical Texas Tech righty with upside, but command remains the story
In the 2026 season, Texas Tech RHP Donovan Becerra made 10 appearances and five starts, throwing 24.2 innings with 19 strikeouts and a 1-0 record, showing the kind of sturdy frame scouts like at 6-foot-3, 221 pounds. His appeal is power and versatility, but the early returns also show he has to sharpen his strike-throwing consistency, since his outings have included traffic on the bases. He looks like a useful bullpen-to-rotation arm who can grow if the command catches up to the arm strength.
