PJ Casale brings proven New Jersey pedigree and heavyweight toughness to Rutgers’ 197-pound spot
Casale enters Rutgers as a battle-tested, high-floor 197-pounder with a strong New Jersey résumé: he won a state title at Delbarton, then finished his senior season at Passaic Valley 25-1 with a runner-up at the NJSIAA state championships and Region 2 and District 6 titles. His profile suggests a disciplined, durable wrestler who has repeatedly performed in high-pressure brackets, which is a good fit for a program that values toughness and competitive consistency. Current public stat-tracking shows him listed on Rutgers’ roster and WrestleStat with a 24-19 career mark and 197-pound assignment, but no active season record is posted yet.
