Loyola's Steady Sixth Man Now Lighting Up Pro Leagues Overseas
Ryan Schwieger, the 6'6" versatile forward from Loyola Chicago, was a reliable bench sparkplug in the 2021-22 season, earning MVC All-Bench honors with 9.2 PPG, 2.8 RPG, and a sharp 45% FG on 242 attempts—excelling in spot-up shooting and hustle plays off the pine. Post-graduation (undrafted in 2022), he's thrived professionally in Germany's ProA with Phoenix Hagen and BCL qualifiers (3.5 PPG in 2025), showcasing his high-motor intensity, positional flexibility, and scoring punch. A coach's dream for immediate depth—no ego, all effort—perfect for teams needing gritty, efficient wings without the prima donna vibes.
