Portland State freshman DE Oliver Macy brings local toughness and disruptive upside
Oliver Macy is a 6-foot-3, 230-pound freshman defensive end from Lake Oswego who arrived at Portland State after a strong prep résumé: in his senior season, he posted 45 tackles, nine tackles for loss, a sack, a forced fumble and two fumble recoveries, earning second-team all-state honors. He looks like a classic high-motor edge defender with real backfield disruption upside, and his Oregon roots plus multi-sport background suggest toughness and athletic feel. The key appeal: he fits a development-friendly program as a physical, effort-driven front-seven piece with room to grow into a bigger role.
