Maryland’s hard-nosed guard with elite academic and energy value
Reese Mona is a 6-foot-2 senior guard from La Plata, Maryland, whose value has long been bigger than the box score: Maryland lists him as a 2020 Big Ten Distinguished Scholar, a 3-time Academic All-Big Ten honoree, and a National Strength and Conditioning Association All-American, and coverage has described him as a high-energy, vocal bench presence who helped create toughness and noise for the Terps[1][7]. If you want a player who brings professionalism, work ethic, and locker-room juice, Mona fits; if you need a high-usage scoring guard, that’s not his lane[1][8].
