Boston College’s Chase Hartsell: young righty with proven winning pedigree
Chase Hartsell is a Boston College right-handed pitcher from Bridgewater, Mass., who arrived as a freshman in 2026 and immediately logged meaningful innings, including a win in BC’s shutout of Washington and multiple appearances in high-leverage spots. His draw is simple: a 6-foot-2 frame, competitive strike-throwing ability, and enough poise for the Eagles to trust him in spots that matter. The rough edges are normal for a young arm—his 2026 ERA sat in the mid-5s to high-6s in noted appearances—but the upside is real for a developing pitcher with in-state roots, a strong baseball background, and a program already giving him the ball.
