projectable, zone-flooding Arizona State righty with starter upside
Caruso enters Arizona State as a lean, athletic right-hander with a true starter profile and a reputation for attacking the zone, featuring a fastball that has been reported in the 86-89 mph range with a sharp breaking ball and usable changeup. His differentiator is polish for a prep arm: he posted a 2.31 ERA across his varsity seasons at Corona del Sol, earned 2025 2nd Team All Central Region honors, and even tossed a no-hitter in 2025. In short, if you want a local arm with bulldog makeup, projectability, and rotation potential, he’s very much worth the look.
