Braden East is Lamar’s double-double engine and interior anchor
In the 2025-26 season, Braden East has emerged as Lamar’s most reliable frontcourt producer, leading the Southland in rebounds (9.1 per game) while averaging 12.8 points on 53.3% shooting and adding 1.0 blocks per game.[7][4] He is the kind of fit-up big who impacts winning without needing plays called for him: active on the glass, efficient around the rim, and steady enough to score in double figures in 21 games, including 13 straight to finish the year.[7] His 33-point career high also shows a higher offensive ceiling than a traditional rebound-first role player.[7]
