Romello Wilbert brings veteran guard savvy and defensive grit to UIW
Romello Wilbert, a former Texas high-school standout and 2017 state champion, projects as a steady, tough-minded guard whose calling card is experience, ball pressure, and all-around floor balance rather than flashy volume scoring. UIW’s own bio notes he was a high-output prep player with 17.0 points, 7.8 rebounds, 5.5 assists, and 2.8 steals per game as a senior, and his college profile has long emphasized his multi-positional toughness and team-first instincts. If your roster needs a reliable connector who can defend, keep the offense organized, and bring a little “grown-man” edge, he’s the kind of fit that quietly raises the floor.
