Jaland Whitehead is a 6-9 rebound-first forward who brings size, touch, and energy
Whitehead’s calling card is frontcourt size with real rebounding juice: in the 2021-22 season at Johnson County CC, he averaged 14.0 points and 11.4 rebounds while shooting over 53% from the field and 39% from three, then at Coastal Carolina he showed he could still impact games with a 2023-24 line of 4.0 points and 4.6 rebounds in limited minutes, including a career-high 13 rebounds vs. Texas State. He looks like a high-motor, stretch-capable forward who can give a team toughness on the glass, but he’s more fit as an energy piece than a featured scorer.
