veteran YSU guard, all-defense caliber, and a steady two-way edge
Garrett Covington is the kind of experienced, high-IQ guard winning teams love: a 6-5 veteran who piled up 1,296 career points, 127 steals, and 117 starts for Youngstown State, and earned multiple Horizon League All-Defense honors. In the 2021-22 season, he averaged 10.3 points and 5.3 rebounds in just three games before an injury cut the year short, which is the main watchout. If you want a tough, versatile perimeter defender who brings leadership, physicality, and proven production, Covington fits the bill.
