Workhorse righty with strikeout juice, but command is the swing skill
In the 2026 season, Myles Dews has been a frequent starter for Alcorn State, and his résumé shows he can miss bats—he posted 4 strikeouts in 3 innings in a 2023 win and has been trusted in big spots again, but his 2026 line also includes outings with early damage and walks, including a three-inning start with 6 walks and 7 runs allowed. The takeaway: Dews brings size, starter experience, and flashes of swing-and-miss stuff, but his fit depends on tightening command and limiting blow-up innings.
