Explosive UCLA Freshman Guard Now Proving Himself in NBA/G-League
Amari Bailey, the dynamic 6'5" combo guard from UCLA, dazzled in 2022-23 college hoops with a career-high 26 points vs. Colorado as a freshman—only the second Bruin frosh to drop 20+ in Pac-12 quarters—showcasing elite athleticism, wiry strength, and scoring burst despite a lean frame. Drafted 41st overall by Charlotte in 2023, he logged 10 NBA games in 2023-24 (2.3 PPG, 33.3 FG%) before G-League development; his high-energy intensity and two-way upside make him a intriguing fit for teams needing perimeter pop and defense—watch for breakout potential.
