YSU’s breakout ace and Horizon League Pitcher of the Year
In the 2026 season, Kennedy Kimball emerged as a true difference-maker for Youngstown State, winning Horizon League Pitcher of the Year and Freshman of the Year while leading the league in wins and ERA. She paired poise with punch, holding opponents in check with a heavy workload, four shutouts, and big-game outings that helped power YSU to the No. 1 seed in the Horizon League Championship. The appeal is obvious: a competitive, high-upside right-hander who already performs like a staff ace and looks built to anchor a contender.
