Brian Crooms brings swing-and-miss upside, but command is the swing factor for Georgia State
In the 2026 season, Georgia State right-hander Brian Crooms has been a volume arm with 20 appearances and eight starts, posting a 7.88 ERA over 53.2 innings with 34 strikeouts and 30 walks; his 2025 work was sharper, with a 3-1 record, 4.14 ERA, and 47 strikeouts in 41.1 innings. He stands out for toughness and flexibility — used as both a starter and reliever — and he’s shown he can handle real innings in the Sun Belt. The fit question is simple: if your staff can sharpen his command, there’s useful depth and strikeout potential here.
