Johnquai Lewis brings ball-hawking upside to McNeese’s secondary
Johnquai Lewis enters the 2025 season as a 6-foot-2 safety for McNeese, and his value shows up in impact plays: in the 2024 season, he logged 27 tackles, 1 sack, 1 forced fumble, and 1 interception, and he was listed on the preseason depth chart as a starting safety in 2025. He looks like a fit if you want length, range, and a defender who can create momentum-shifting turnovers rather than just collect routine tackles.
