Shaun McDowell brings Texas-tough size and disruption to UTEP's defensive front
In the 2026 cycle, Shaun McDowell arrived at UTEP as a three-star defensive tackle from Richmond Foster, carrying a big frame at about 6-2, 275-285 and a resume built on production and versatility. His senior year featured 59 tackles, 10 tackles for loss, three sacks, and 10 quarterback hurries, plus a reputation for playing both sides of the ball and not surrendering a sack during a key stretch of his junior season. He looks like a strong fit if a team wants a physical interior lineman who can clog lanes, collapse pockets, and keep improving as his technique catches up to his power.
