Nate Bennett is Niagara’s workhorse righty with real swing-and-miss upside
In the 2026 season, Niagara RHP Nate Bennett showed starter traits that matter: a 4.94 ERA, 51.0 innings, and a team-high 59 strikeouts, including seven scoreless innings with eight Ks against Merrimack and a 7.2-inning, six-strikeout gem in the MAAC tournament. He’s not just a stats line—his appeal is durability, strike-throwing growth, and the ability to give a team length on the mound. The caution flag: he was also hit hard at times, so he profiles as a competitive, innings-eating arm with upside rather than a finished product.
