In the 2023 season, Vercher played in six games for Valparaiso and produced 174 all-purpose yards, including 80 rushing yards, 22 receiving yards, 21 kickoff-return yards, and 51 punt-return yards, showing value beyond a traditional RB role. His best trait is versatility: he can contribute as a runner, receiver, and returner, which makes him useful in multiple phase packages. He already showed explosion with a 46-yard rushing game and a long 48-yard kickoff return in 2022, so he fits best as a dynamic, multi-use playmaker rather than a volume bell-cow back.[1]
