Siena’s undersized, overachieving ace with real pitchability
In the 2026 season, Tyler Sausville has been Siena’s staff tone-setter, opening the year in the rotation and earning MAAC Pitcher of the Week after seven scoreless innings against Niagara; he finished the spring leading the Saints in starts (13), innings (52.0) and strikeouts (46), while ranking among MAAC qualifiers with a .200 opponents average. The 5'7" lefty is a grind-it-out arm who competes hard, misses enough bats, and brings value beyond the box score—especially for teams that want a durable, reliable competitor with academic and leadership credibility.
