Corben Childers brings swing-and-miss upside to Wofford’s bullpen
In the 2026 season, Corben Childers showed intriguing relief potential for Wofford, striking out 22 batters in 16.0 innings while working mostly in the bullpen, but he also allowed 23 hits and 14 earned runs, so the profile is still a work-in-progress[9]. What makes him interesting is the strikeout punch and athletic background from Anderson and Boiling Springs, where he previously posted 66 strikeouts in 36 games at Anderson and a 2.28 ERA with 71 strikeouts in 49 high school innings[1]. He looks like a developmental arm with real swing-and-miss traits, not a finished product yet[1][9].
