Dante Vachini brings left-handed pop, gap power, and a tough out profile for Cal Poly
In the 2025 season, Dante Vachini hit .314 with 15 doubles, 2 triples, 3 home runs, and 37 RBIs while starting 57 of 61 games in left field for Cal Poly[1]. He’s a 6-foot-3, 200-pound left-handed hitter who can impact the game in multiple ways, and his late-season surge — including a .433 stretch over 17 games — suggests real adjustment ability and confidence under pressure[1]. He also showed up in the postseason, going 3-for-4 with an RBI in Cal Poly’s NCAA regional win over Virginia Tech[3]. If a team wants a physical corner outfielder with contact skills, extra-base upside, and a proven ability to catch fire, Vachini is absolutely worth the look[1][3].
