Wisdom Colbert brings bat-to-ball consistency and sneaky speed to Howard’s infield
In the 2026 season, Howard listed Wisdom Colbert as a key infield/utility piece, and Norfolk State’s game notes singled her out as a lineup steadying force with a .344 average[11]. Howard’s own 2026 results show she can deliver in pressure spots, including a two-run double against Norfolk State and an RBI bunt single against Delaware State, which hints at a versatile, high-IQ game rather than a one-tool profile[8][9][12]. She looks like a scrappy fit for a program that values contact, situational hitting, and hustle—less flash, more function, and that plays.
